Common Questions

I know you have questions—here are answers to the ones I hear most often from families like yours.

Gifted children often show early language development, intense curiosity, excellent memory, advanced problem-solving skills, and a preference for older companions or adult conversation. They may also display heightened sensitivity, perfectionism, or become easily bored with routine tasks. However, giftedness presents differently in every child—some may even underperform in school while possessing exceptional abilities.

The cognitive assessment itself typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on your child's age and the specific tests administered. I build in breaks as needed and always prioritize your child's comfort. The entire process, from initial consultation to feedback session, usually spans 2-3 weeks.

Results can be used to apply for gifted programs in public schools, support applications to private schools, guide homeschool curriculum decisions, or simply help you better understand and support your child's learning style at home. The comprehensive report I provide is accepted by school districts throughout Florida.

I'm happy to discuss pricing during our free initial consultation, as costs can vary based on your child's specific needs. I believe every family deserves access to quality assessment, and I'm committed to transparent, fair pricing with no hidden fees.

I evaluate children from age 4 through high school. The specific assessment tools used are carefully selected based on your child's age and developmental level to ensure the most accurate and meaningful results.
